Caring for your timber floor:
-
after overnight drying the floor may be walked on with socks .
-
after 24 hours the surface may be subjected to light foot traffic .
-
after 48 hours we recommend to replace furniture gently and avoid dragging furniture over the floor at anytime.
-
Use protective pads on the bottom of furniture legs to reduce scratching.
-
Place mats at all entry doorways to reduce dirt and grit which may lead to scratching your floor.
-
Keep floor clean by sweeping or using a electrostatic mop .
Washing of Floor
-
wash floor regulary using Aquacare 4420 , or ½ cup of metholated spirits in a bucket of warm water , using a damp mop only .
-
Do not clean floor with any waterbased detergents, sugar soaps etc as this may reduce the gloss appearance of the floor.
Maintenance:
We recommend lightly sanding & recoating approximately every 3 – 5 Years (depending on wear ) to keep your floor in pristine condition, and this will avoid resanding which can become costly.
